Reestablishing roots to the childhood property of one of the owners, this project has been an incredible transformation allowing for a special place to return home. Located on the waterfront edge of the Saanich Peninsula with mature trees flanking breathtaking views of Page Passage. Siting the house near the shoreline called for tiered, lush, landscaped patios and a robust seawall development to protect the home while closely connecting indoor and outdoor spaces to the Pacific Ocean. Special attention was paid to ensure privacy from the public side of the home while large glazing allows natural light to flood in every room and frame beautiful views to the coastal horizon. The home was built to the highest standards and quality, with energy efficiency being a top priority. The large upper deck or lower firepit area are perfect for entertaining and relaxing with guests while creating a memorable feeling deeply rooted to its place on the very edge of the coastal landscape.
